Vantage Compatibility

There have been several styles of Vantage. The older style with blue and green LEDs on the front, and the current style with a green LED and dark wireless transmitter LED on the front. This dark transmitter LED is what flashes the sync signal that tells the Wireless Pods when to flash back to the system.

You must have the Vantage with the dark transmitter LED for the Wireless Pods to function.

If your Vantage is not compatible, it can be upgraded.

How to Upgrade Your Vantage

The Vantage Upgrade is $120 USD plus shipping.

This service is done by our technicians in Colorado, USA.

Service turnaround is 1-2 business days.

NOTE: The upgraded Vantage will work with both V8 and V7, and the wireless harness.

ATTENTION: If your Vantage has the barrel jack port, the upgrade will change this into the Mini USB port. This means that the VCB to the Vantage will now need a cord that has a Mini USB on both ends; this cord was provided in the purchase of the VCB. If you do not have this cord, you can find one at your local electronics store.

To be clear, the barrel jack power supply from the wall connects  to the VCB, and this power cord specifically has a ferrite bead on it.

• With the use of the VCB, the Vantage does not use a power supply to the wall. Only the VCB.

Then the cord with a Mini USB on both ends will connect the VCB to the Vantage.

• Note that Mini USB is different from Micro USB
