The new version of Retül software, 4f, has major upgrades to the reports that users generate after measuring the geometry of the client's bike.

Retül's bike measuring accessory, known as the Zin, is used to touch all the critical points on a client's bike and captures those points in 3D, thus enabling the fitter to archive the 3D setup of the client's bike.

From this data, the fitter can generate reports that translate the 3D positions of key components such as the saddle and handlebars into linear and angular measurements that the bike fitting world is used to.  This helps the client to recreate that same position on a new bike, or their existing bike when, for example, rebuilding the bike after travel to a race or event.

The new reports in Retül's 4f software split the reports into 3 unique reports depending on the bike type, Road, TT/Triathlon, or Mountain.  In these individual reports are now more specific bike measurements for that bike type.  The 4f software adds roughly 17 new measurements across the 3 bike styles.

Measuring a bike in this way is likely the quickest and most comprehensive way to capture and store the setup of a client's bike, which is after all, really what the client is paying for with their spending on a bike fit.  Anyone who has driven their car into a garage with their bike on the roof would be glad to know that their position can be easily recreated on their new bike.

The 4f software will be a free upgrade to all of the over 150 installed Retül systems around the globe.
