Friday Fitter Feature: Todd Herriott - Metier Racing & Coffee

Today’s Friday Fitter feature takes us to the Pacific Northwest city of Seattle, Washington known for its coffee culture, birthplace of grunge music, the Space Needle and outdoor lifestyle whether its rain or shine (and it rains a lot).

Todd Herriott is the Founder of Metier Racing & Coffee (pronounced meh-tee-AY), where he and his staff provide top notch services to their riders creating a welcoming environment for everyone in the sport. Metier is not only a bike shop, but also a training space and community hub for cyclists. What cycling hub wouldn’t be complete without a café? As the name states, Metier provides locally-sourced coffee for the early risers and locally brewed beer for those sunny afternoons.

Todd and his team pride themselves on providing a space for riders where they can connect and support one another in the community. Métier, which translates to “one’s calling” encapsulates everything that this shop is about, which is bringing people together through their love of cycling.

Tell us a little about yourself

I am the head fitter at Metier and have been working with beginner, amateur and professional riders in the realm of strength training and bicycle fitting for the past 25 years. As a former professional rider and a lifelong student of biomechanics and physiology, I spend my days working in the Metier training gym and in the fit studio in constant pursuit of helping clients move and feel better on and off the bike.

What is your favorite thing about Retül?

My favorite thing about Retül is the never ending pursuit of making the fit experience better for both the customer AND the fitter. Retül continues to set the bar not only with technology but with their support. They are always there when I have a question about software or process and that's very helpful to a business- THANK YOU!
